Die Handelspreise bestimmen sich aus dem Grundwert des Handeslgutes multipliziert mit dem Nachfrage bzw. Angebotes der Region. Letztere nehmen Werte zwischen 1 und 100 an. In jeder Region wird nur ein Handelsgut produziert, d.h. von den Bauern verkauft; dieses erkennt man daran, dass sein Preis in der Auswertung negativ ist. Pro Insel werden insgesamt nur zwei verschiedene Handelsgüter angeboten.

Angebot und Nachfrage

Der Angebotswert der verkauften Güter ändert sich pro Runde um -1,5. Alle anderen Güter können in der Region verkauft werden. Die Nachfrage nach diesen Gütern ändert sich pro Runde um +0,25.

Wird in einer Region ein Gut gekauft oder verkauft, so ändert sich der Angebots- bzw. Nachfragepreis pro gehandeltem Stück um (25 / Anzahl der Bauern).

Folgende Formel bestimmt den zu zahlenden Höchstpreis Pmax für ein Gut mit dem Basispreis P, wenn eine Anzahl N des Gutes in einer Region mit der Anzahl B an Bauern gekauft wird:

Pmax = P * (N * (25 / B) + 1)

Beispiel: 50 Balsam werden in einer Region mit 5.500 Bauern zum Basispreis gekauft. Der Höchstpreis für die 50. gekaufte Einheit beträgt 4,9 Silber, was auf 4 Silber abgerundet wird. 50 Balsam kosten zusammen also 200 Silber.

4 * (50 * (25 / 5.500) + 1) = 4,90...

Man kann nun ausrechnen, wieviel Stück eines Gutes zum Basispreis auf einmal gekauft werden können, ohne dass zusätzliches Silber ausgegeben werden muss. Die Formel vereinfacht sich:

N < B / (25 * P)

Andersherum lässt sich bestimmen, wie viele Bauern in einer Region leben müssen, damit eine bestimmte Stückzahl ohne Mehrkosten gekauft werden kann:

B > 25 * N * P

In unserem Beispiel können bei 5.500 Bauern maximal 54 Stück Balsam zum Basispreis gekauft werden; das 55. Stück würde 5 Silber kosten.

Um 60 Stück Balsam zum Basispreis zu bekommen, müssten mehr als 6.000 Bauern dort leben.
